Project Hail Mary

Project Hail Mary was very good. Haven’t read the Project Hail Mary book, but I did read The Martian and saw the movie version; the movie version of The Martian botched the humor of the book. 

 

However the Project Hail Mary movie absolutely captured the humor of Andy Wier’s writing far more than the previous movie. This movie was funny, heartwarming, and had really great visuals.

The story was less hard sci-fi than The Martian (it even brushes past the suspension of belief at times), but it did have a good and honest appreciation for the nerdy stuff.
